Virgin Atlantic has relaunched its twice weekly services to Tobago. From 29th January, the route will resume from London Heathrow, departing every Tuesday and Saturday, utilising the airline’s A330-300 aircraft.
Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic, commented: “The Caribbean is the linchpin of Virgin Atlantic’s leisure portfolio and we’ve recently introduced a number of new destinations to our flying programme, including The Bahamas, St Lucia and St Vincent and The Grenadines. We can’t wait to fly our customers safely to our amazing Caribbean destinations throughout 2022.
Meanwhile, weak customer demand has prompted Virgin Atlantic to suspend its Barbados services from Manchester and Edinburgh after April 30. The Edinburgh-Barbados will be suspended from February 16 – just two months after it was launched.
The airline blames this on “changing travel restrictions and [UK] arrival testing requirements”.
