Virgin Atlantic is set to operate flights between London and Brussels during the winter season with the aim of transporting cargo during the winter period.
The service between the two cities will be operated by both the airline’s A330-300 and A350-1000 aircraft which have the capacity to carry 50 tonnes of cargo per flight.
“During the winter period, we will operate services to Brussels, a destination we are familiar with having flown there successfully during the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Juha Jarvinen, chief commercial officer of Virgin Atlantic. “This new service will transport a range of goods including perishables and pharmaceuticals, offering fast connections for our customers between Brussels and the wider European region and Virgin Atlantic’s extensive route network via London Heathrow.”
The new service will operate from October 27, 2024, through to March 29, 2025.
