Vietnam Airlines is among one of the carriers lending its support to the integration of international flights from the country's Phu Cat Airport in Binh Dinh Province.
The airport, which has had its old terminal repaired and converted, is set to serve its first international flight in September.
Tran Van Trien, director of Phu Cat Airport, said that the new terminal would serve domestic flights.
Vietnam Airlines joins Bamboo Airways, and Vietjet Air in surveying the market and demand for international flights at Phu Cat Airport.
Phu Cat is one of the busiest airports in the south central coast and central highlands. Last year, it welcomed 1.3 million passengers and is expected to greet 1.4 million passengers this year. The annual growth rate is 27%.
