Vietnam Airlines is all set to resume four weekly flights between Da Nang International Airport (DAD) and Haneda International Airport in Tokyo, Japan (HND) starting March 26, 2023.
This service is a part of four-year promotion and cooperation agreement between Vietnam Airlines and the city of Da Nang from 2023 to 2027. This agreement will help the city of Da Nang to attract more tourists.
Da Nang had nearly 3.7 million tourists in 2022, and Vietnam Airlines will look to help boost this number in 2023.
Trinh Ngoc Thành, Deputy General Director, Vietnam Airlines, said: “Vietnam Airlines operates seven of the eight available domestic flights out of the Da Nang International Airport. The airline has also resumed two other international flights routed from Da Nang. The destinations of these two flights are Bangkok, Thailand, and Incheon, South Korea.”
Besides the Vietnam-Japan route, the airline will also open several direct routes across the continent. The airline recently resumes four weekly services from Hanoi to Kuala-Lumpur after a three-year gap. Before the end of 2022, Vietnam Airlines also resumed routes from Hanoi to Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The airline also began flying regular flights to China at the end of last year. Going ahead, the airline is also planning China-Da Nang charter flights.
