Vietnam Airlines has revealed that revenues have exceeded expectations for the first nine months of 2019.
The increased revenues come despite increased competition in the global airline industry as well as fluctuations of the global economy.
The airline reported a total consolidated revenue of more than VND 57.4 trillion and VND 2.7 trillion in profit before tax, up 52.8% year-over-year.
In the group, Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific, and VASCO have transported more than 21.4 million passengers, up 3.2% compared to the prior year.
Over the remaining three months of 2019, Vietnam Airlines is expected to take delivery of four Airbus A321neos, one Boeing 787-10 and to introduce new routes to Bali, Phuket, Macau, and resume the Da Nang - Bangkok route.
