VAS Aero Services acquires an additional 17 Airbus A320 airframes
Aviation logistics and aftermarket services lender VAS Aero Services has secured an additional 17 A320 airframes for teardown and used service material (USM) parts re-distribution on July 31, 2024. Tommy Hughes, CEO of VAS, said: “Airlines and lessors look to us for turnkey retirement solutions that enable them to realise the maximum value of their end-of-service aircraft. And because we have access to these aircraft and the residual parts inventory, VAS is the go-to source for hundreds of thousands of USM parts for other operators needing vital material to keep their existing aircraft flying.” The company has now acquired a total of 23 A320s in the past six months, this is in accordance with the company’s growth initiative to support increasing demand for critical A320 parts.
