Aviation logistics and aftermarket services lender VAS Aero Services has secured an additional 17 A320 airframes for teardown and used service material (USM) parts re-distribution on July 31, 2024.
Tommy Hughes, CEO of VAS, said: “Airlines and lessors look to us for turnkey retirement solutions that enable them to realise the maximum value of their end-of-service aircraft. And because we have access to these aircraft and the residual parts inventory, VAS is the go-to source for hundreds of thousands of USM parts for other operators needing vital material to keep their existing aircraft flying.”
The company has now acquired a total of 23 A320s in the past six months, this is in accordance with the company’s growth initiative to support increasing demand for critical A320 parts.
