VA orders new flight simulator

Virtual Aviation (VA) has placed an order with Multi Pilot Simulations (MPS) for a new B737-800 fixed based simulator, which will be installed in November this year. The agreement also includes an option to buy a new Airbus A320 FTD1 simulator
from MPS, for delivery in the first half of 2018.  The new equipment will enable VA to significantly increase its training capabilities as well as its simulator capacity.

In addition to meeting the growing demand for its MCC/JOC training, VA will be able to provide cost-effective Type Rating training and dry hire to its airline customers and training partners.

The latest-generation fixed based simulators are playing an increasingly valuable role in airline pilot training, with their high-fidelity and innovative features making it possible for airlines to reduce their reliance on full flight simulators.

VA Founder and Chief Executive, James Stevenson: "Expanding our fleet with brand-new simulators from MPS is an important first step in our ambitious growth plans. We decided on MPS after thoroughly researching the market, and are very excited to be joining the growing number of ATOs and airlines who are recognising the quality and uniqueness of the MPS product."

MPS President and Founder, Dick Verburg: "We are very happy to provide our simulator to Virtual Aviation, our first ATO customer in the UK. It is yet another confirmation that our simulator product is the best solution for ATOs and airlines.
We are pleased to add a professional ATO like Virtual Aviation to our customer base and we look forward to our cooperation.”

VA’s Flight Training Centre is at Cambridge Airport, near London Stansted.
