US AIRWAYS AIRCRAFT FORCED TO LAND DUE TO CABIN SMOKE

A US Airways flight from Spain to Charlotte, N.C., was forced to land in Boston on Saturday morning after smoke was detected in the cabin.

Four flight attendants of the 192 passengers and nine flight crew members aboard were taken to hospital to be evaluated.

The smoke had dissipated by the time the plane landed, and no passengers complained of any problems.

The aircraft has been taken out of service, and mechanics were trying to determine what caused the smoke.
