United Airlines is expanding its reach within Asia, being the first US airline to offer flights to Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City, with new daily services from Hong Kong planned to start later this year.
The airline said the addition of the new routes will combat an increased demand for services to these destinations.
In addition to these services, United will also launch new services from the US, connecting San Francisco with Manila, adding a second daily service to the Philippine capital from October 25, 2025.
United will also become the first carrier to offer a nonstop service between the US and Adelaide, operating three weekly flights on a seasonal basis from San Francisco, commencing on December 11, 2025.
With the addition of these new routes, United will now offer flights to 32 different cities in the Pacific region from the US, a figure which is four times that of any other US carrier.
In the past year, the airline said it has served more than six million business and leisure passengers in the Pacific region.
