A United Airlines flight was evacuated before take-off on February 2, 2025, due to what the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed as an “engine issue”.
The A319, that was travelling from Houston to New York’s La Giardia Airport, was deplaned on the runway at following an aborted take-off from George Bush Intercontinental Airport. No injuries were reported.
“Passengers deplaned on the runway and were bused to the terminal,” confirmed the FAA.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
