To fill the gap between the lengthened 110-155-seat Sukhoi Superjet 100 and the 150-200-seat MS-21, United Aircraft Corp. (UAC) plans to launch a 130-140-seat aircraft program.
Speaking at the International Air Transport Forum in Ulyanovsk, UAC president Mikhail Pogosyan said that the new aircraft is expected to enter the market between 2016-2020 and would combine production technologies of the SSJ100 and the MS-21 meaning the new aircraft could be built more quickly.
