The EASA issues a CZIB for Iranian airspace

The European Commission and EASA have decided to issue a Conflict Zone Information Bulletin (CZIB) recommending operators not to perform flights in the airspace of Iran at all flight levels.

This comes after an Iranian missile strike on Israel that took place on October 1, 2024.

The recommendation is valid until October 31, 2024, and can be reviewed earlier - and adapted or withdrawn - subject to the revised assessment.

This latest implementation of a CZIB in the region comes four days after the EASA implemented CZIB’s for the airspace above Israel and Lebanon.

The EASA will continue to monitor the situation closely, to assess whether there is an increase or decrease of risks for EU aircraft operators as a result of the evolution of the threat.
