Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel has said he would welcome “any foray” by Tatas into the civil aviation sector, effectively denying Ratan Tata’s recent claim to have been frozen out of the business as he was not comfortable with the idea of bribing a minister.
“The Civil Aviation Ministry will welcome and objectively look into any foray by Tatas in the civil aviation sector,” Patel said. The minister also said it was “unfortunate Mr Tata had a bad experience in the past”.
