TAT Technologies inks MRO services deal with a "leading" international cargo carrier

Aviation services provider TAT Technologies has signed a five year maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) agreement with a leading international cargo carriers.

The agreement extends its existing contract for APU repairs on the US fleet of 767 and 757 aircraft, now expanded to support the carrier's global fleet. Additionally, under the contract extension, TAT will provide repair services for two new APU platforms: the 737 and A300. TAT was also awarded the 777 APU contract for the next seven years, which is expected to be signed this month or next.

The company did not disclose the carrier. DHL, FedEx Express, and UPS are all existing customers of TAT Technologies.

The total value of the contracts — including the awarded 777 APU contract — is estimated to be around $40-55 million over the next five years.

TAT Technologies CEO and president Igal Zamir commented: "The expansion of our existing contract and the addition of new services to this partnership serves as a powerful testament to the strength of our brand and our proven capabilities in the APU MRO business, delivered through our Piedmont Components Services subsidiary."
