TAP Air Portugal carries two million passengers on Portugal-Brazil routes in 2024

TAP Air Portugal has carried two million passengers between Portugal and Brazil so far this year, with this being the first time the airline has carried two million passengers between two countries during a single year,

The Portuguese carrier cited a “significant increase in demand” for flights between the two continents as a reason for the increase in yearly passenger numbers. TAP has also emphasised that its routes between Portugal and Brazil are one of the “main pillars of growth” for the airline.

In total, the airline serves 13 cities in Brazil, comprising of 15 direct routes from Lisbon and Porto.
