TAP Air reduces average fleet age with removal of A330-200

TAP Air Portugal has made a conscious effort to introduce new Airbus neo aircraft into its fleet over the past three years,

The plan has included the removal Airbus A330-200 from its fleet, this took place on 29 November.

A year ago, TAP had four Airbus A340 and 17 A330ceo in its long-haul fleet. The long-haul fleet is now composed of 17 Airbus A330neo, four Airbus A321 LR and seven Airbus A330ceo.

One year ago, the average age of the long-haul fleet was 15 years, now with the introduction of 30 new-generation aircraft this year, the average age now stands at just 3.9 years.
