Sun Country Airlines has appointed Torque Zubeck as the airline’s chief financial officer, effective September 2.
Zubeck, a 30-year finance veteran, most recently served as CFO at Mesa Airlines from 2021 to 2023. He previously spent two decades at Alaska Airlines in various leadership roles, including managing director of finance, audit, cargo operations, and commercial partnerships. He was also part of the team that led Alaska’s integration of Virgin America.
“We’re excited that Torque has agreed to join Sun Country, bringing extensive experience in finance, commercial, and operational leadership,” said CEO Jude Bricker in a statement.
Zubeck also held CFO roles at private firms in the Seattle area and holds degrees from Stanford University and Eastern Michigan University.
Separately, Sun Country said Stephen Coley has been appointed senior vice president and head of operations, effective immediately. Coley had been serving in the role on an interim basis since April.
Coley joined Sun Country in January 2025 as VP of technical operations. He has more than 22 years of industry experience, including prior roles at United Airlines, HAECO Americas, and TIMCO Aviation Services.
Bill Trousdale, who served as interim CFO, will return to his role as VP of financial planning & analysis and treasurer.
