Stratos completes the sale of four aircraft

Stratos has executed three separate transactions involving the sale of four aircraft. These include two A320 aircraft to Avion Express, one 737 freighter to a Middle Eastern buyer and one leased 777-300ER to investors managed by Altavair.

The 777-300ER is on long term lease to Air France and the A320s were acquired by the airline at the expiry of the respective leases. The 737 freighter was sold on behalf of Texel Air (Bahrain).

“We are delighted to be executing so many highly profitable trades for our different investors and continue to actively raise further capital and acquire additional aircraft as we work through this strong cyclic recovery in investment returns for this asset class,” said Fraser Chestney, SVP corporate finance at Stratos.

He continued: “Our team has done exceptional work on the technical, airline coverage and debt raising sides in the past year to overcome many complex challenges associated with transitioning newish and mid-life aircraft”

These trades bring the total number of aircraft sold or leased by Stratos in the past 12 months to 17.
