STARLUX Airlines recently inaugurated its daily service between Taipei and Clark, marking the airline’s third destination in the Philippines.
STARLUX currently serves the Philippines with flights to both Manila and Cebu.
The inaugural flight, JX790, took off from Clark International Airport at 10:45 am local time. The flight was preceded by an opening ceremony that included a ribbon cutting, cake cutting and cultural dance performance.
“Today marks a significant milestone as we expand our service from Clark to Taipei, a route we expect will increase our competitiveness in the North American market by significantly reducing travel time for passengers heading to the northern Philippines for family, leisure, or business,” commented Glenn Chai, chief executive, STARLUX. “Clark has tremendous business and tourism potential. Formerly the largest US military base in Asia, Clark offers a mix of fascinating history, a fast-growing economic center, breathtaking natural landscapes, and vibrant cultural experiences that will leave a lasting impression on every traveler who visits.”
STARLUX is serving the route with its next-generation Airbus A321neo aircraft configured in a two-class layout, with eight seats in Business Class and 180 in Economy Class.
