StandardAero readying three new maintenance sites for Rolls-Royce helicopter engines

StandardAero has lined up three new maintenance facilities to become Rolls-Royce RR300 engine Authorised Support Centres (ASC).

In an announcement released during the 2023 HAI/Heli-Expo industry event in Atlanta, the company said Alpha Aviation,  Helisul Taxi Aereo and Florida Suncoast Helicopters have been "strategically aligned" with StandardAero to support the RR300 in Japan, Brazil and the US.

Deals have been renewed, StandardAero said, for similar work with other providers in Canada, Chile, Mexico and elsewhere in the US, but heavy maintenance and overhaul will be kept to StandardAero’s facilities in Winnipeg and Richmond in Canada and Concord in the US.

“Today’s announcement underscores StandardAero’s strategic alliances to provide the operators in these geographic markets with the world class RR300 servicing that StandardAero is known for,” said Cory Waldmo, director of customer service.

The company earlier said it was implementing "game-changer" upgrades to a Bell UH-1H helicopter used by the Pinal County Sheriff Office in Arizona, to ready it for "hot, high, and heavy operations" in the arid southern border state.
