Vedder Price has announced that Raviv Surpin has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a Shareholder on the Global Transportation Finance (GTF) team.
Having focused on commercial aircraft finance for nearly 20 years, Surpin has amassed significant experience representing and counseling operating lessors, borrowers, finance companies, manufacturers and investors in all manner of aircraft finance transactions. Prior to joining Vedder Price, Surpin served as Vice President & Corporate Counsel at International Lease Finance Corporation/AerCap (ILFC/AerCap), where he advised senior management in financing and securitization matters and was instrumental in the extraction of aircraft from difficult jurisdictions.

Vedder Price has also named Mehtap Cevher Conti as a Shareholder in the firm. Elevated from Of Counsel and a member of the firm’s Global Transportation Finance team in the New York office, Conti represents commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, aircraft operating lessors and airlines in a broad range of cross-border finance transactions involving multiple jurisdictions throughout the world. She also advises clients in the purchase and lease financing of corporate aircraft and helicopters.
