StandardAero receives Indian, Japanese and Emirati approval for LEAP engine MRO services

StandardAero’s San Antonio engine overhaul centre has received maintenance organisation approval from the aviation authorities of India, Japan, and the UAE for LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B engines, supporting A320neo and 737 MAX fleets.

These approvals follow the facility’s recent ramp-up in LEAP MRO capability, including quick-turn and performance restoration shop visits, and more than 300 industrialised component repairs through its component repair services network.

“This milestone enables us to support operators in key global markets,” said James Campbell, vice President & general manager, commercial programs – San Antonio. “We continue to work with additional regulatory authorities to broaden our reach.”

The company said it will also continue to grow its team of LEAP technicians through its in-house aviation mechanic training program, located at its San Antonio site’s training academy.
