Spirit Airlines is aiming to take on 4,000 workers in 2023 as it "adds new planes and destinations to its growing network".
"The new hires will include pilots, flight attendants, aviation maintenance technicians," the carrier said.
"We're welcoming thousands of new Spirit Family Members across our network this year and have a broad range of positions available for people with all different interests, talents and experience levels," said Linde Grindle, senior vice president and chief human resources officer.
The expansion comes as Spirit faces a US government court challenge to its proposed merger with JetBlue, which the two airlines say would compete with the so-called big four of Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, United Airlines and Southwest Airlines.
