Spirit Airlines and Safran Landing Systems have renewed their long-term agreement for the supply and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of wheels and carbon brakes for Spirit’s fleet of A320 aircraft.
Manufacturing will be carried out at Safran Landing Systems’ plant in Kentucky, with maintenance services provided through Safran Landing Systems' Wheels & Brakes Services network in Florida, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Texas and Nevada.
“We truly value our long-term partnership with Safran Landing Systems, which is key to our commitment to run a strong operation and deliver a positive and reliable experience for our guests,” said Boris Rogoff, senior vice president of tech operations and supply chain at Spirit Airlines.
The contract covers both the Airbus A320ceo and A320neo in service and more to be delivered in the future.
