Spanish airport operator Aena has suggested that summer 2023 could be busier than the same period in 2019, with airlines providing 4.4% more seats compared to the pre-pandemic summer.
Aena said 221.8 million seats are available on 1.3 million flights through its airports between March and September, with Adolfo-Suárez Madrid-Barajas, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat, Palma de Mallorca, Málaga-Costa del Sol, Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández, Ibiza and Gran Canaria among bigger hubs listed.
