Low cost UK airline easyJet has announced revenues for the final quarter of 2010 increased by 7.5% to £654million despite the cost of the snow disruption in December costing the airline £18 million.
The airline was also impact in the fourth quarter of last year due to strike action by air traffic controllers, which cost £6 million.
Passenger numbers were up in the same quarter by 8.8% to 11.9 million.
Despite the positive results, easyJet warned that higher fuel costs would lead to bigger half-year losses. It said the loss from October last year to March this year would be between £140 million and £160 million, compared with a loss of £78.7 million a year earlier, the airline said.
