Airlines have begun to cancel flights in anticipation of a snowstorm forecast for tomorrow to hit the east coast of the USA.
Some 1,200 flights scheduled across the US have been cancelled, according to Flightware.com. Southwest has cancelled 880 scheduled Tuesday departures. Republic Airlines has cancelled 137 fights. United Airlines has yet to announce any cancellations from its Newark Liberty International Airport hub.
Today, some 818 flights have been cancelled, with snow in Chicago grounding more than 300 departures from the city's two major airports.
