Honeywell and ITP Aero ink agreement for aircraft engine repairs

Honeywell and ITP Aero have partnered to create a new authorised service centre for Honeywell's F124-GA-200 aircraft engines. ITP Aero's Ajalvir site will be based in Madrid and will be a licensed MRO facility for the International Turbine Engine Company (ITEC), a joint venture between Honeywell Aerospace Technologies and the Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation. The centre will be operational by the end of 2024 and brings local repair capabilities to more than 150 F124-GA-200 aircraft engines in the region, with the agreement seeing technological support to increase efficiencies and improve sustainable operations. ""What sets the engine apart is its modular design, ease of maintenance, and remarkable power-to-weight ratio,"" said Honeywell Aerospace Technologies engines vice president and general manager John Head. ""We are pleased to open this new service centre to better serve our customers."" ITP Aero's defence business unit executive director Alvaro Santodomingo added: ""This agreement forms part of our global growth plans, expanding our MRO capabilities and service offerings and developing new MRO solutions to meet the changing needs of the market and our valued customers.""
