SmartLynx Airlines recently received its Australian Foreign Air Transport Operator Certificate (FATAOC) from the Australian Civil Aviation Authority. This certificate will allow the airline to begin commercial operations to and from Australia.
Receiving this approval was a part of the airline strategic plan to expand its global network by entering new markets. With this certificate the airline will start operations A330 operations in Australia with plans to receive certification for other aircraft types soon.

SmartLynx has fulfilled all operational requirements and submitted the necessary certificates of airworthiness and maintenance schedules for Airbus A330-type to be operated in Australia, the airline clarified in a statement.
