SmartLynx Airlines makes €6 million investment in cabin upgrades
European ACMI provider SmartLynx Airlines has made a ‘substantial investment’ of €6 million ($6.4 million) in upgrading cabin interiors and improving maintenance processes, part of a programme which started in 2023. “Cabin experience plays a crucial role in ensuring client satisfaction. Investing in cabin improvements reflects our commitment to enhancing our clients’ comfort,” explained Edvinas Demenius, CEO of SmartLynx Airlines. One of the lessors’ most significant upgrades has been the purchase of Recaro seats for its A320/A321 aircraft fleet, which have commenced installation and should all be in place by the end of the year. Additionally, SmartLynx has also allocated more than €1 million ($1.07 million) for ‘the regular replacement of seats for other aircraft and seat cover replacements, which aim to enhance the overall condition of the aircraft cabin and reduces damages’.
