SkyWorks has published details of key transactions and activities performed during Q4 2022 for its leasing, asset management, investment banking & advisory groups.
Among the highlights listed were the arrangement of lease extensions for two A319-100 aircraft to American Airlines on behalf of an unnamed institutional investor and the sale of two 737-700s to a US network carrier.
The lessor said it wound up its backup servicing role for a large financial institution regarding certain portfolio assets. Separately, it was retained by a North American low-cost airline to give fleet advisory services for a prospective order of aircraft.
The lessor said it completed an assignment advising Southwest Airlines about the buyback of 39 737-700 aircraft on lease with AerCap.
It assisted a "leading lessor client" with engine purchase deals involving CFM and Pratt & Whitney and continued to provide a leading EMEA carrier with engine sourcing assistance for Airbus A320neo and Embraer E2 aircraft.
SkyWorks has also been engaged to arrange a 2024 sale and leaseback programme for Spirit Airlines, after completing a sale and leaseback financing effort encompassing 17 A320neo deliveries in 2023.
