Swiss regional carrier SkyWork Airlines has appointed Martin Inabnit as new CEO, and has stated it has abandoned plans to operate under another airline’s AOC.
Inabnit has replaced previous incumbent Rolf Hartleb stepped down last week and has been replaced by Martin Inäbnit. Hartleb will continue to function as an accountable manager. Inäbnit has moved up from his position as VP board-of-directors.
SkyWork had also previously planned to transfer its flight operations to the AOC of German partner MHS Aviation, which owns a 40% stake in the company.
As part of an ongoing restructuring process, Skywork is disposing of its remaining Dash 8 Q400, leaving it with a fleet of five Dornier 328-100s.
SkyWork is also switching its London flights from London City Airport to London Southend, citing cost is the principal factor.
