Skytra: Air travel revenue shows positive trend post-pandemic

Air Travel recovery across the US is showing a positive trend post-pandemic, as per the Skytra data. According to the latest report from Skytra, Los Angeles continues to enjoy the position of the most popular destination to and from Vegas. Chicago, Dallas, and San Francisco are the next most popular, with Chicago moving up two rankings since Q3 2019.

Commenting on the data, Elise Weber, CEO of Skytra, said: “Our data shows a clear recovery in air travel revenue post-pandemic, with 90% of this quarter’s top 10 routes having already surpassed Q3 2019 revenue by mid-September this year. This reflects the higher fares we are seeing in the market and increased demand in earlier booking windows, which could be driven by leisure traffic as well as returning corporate travel to Las Vegas.

“This is hugely welcome news for the air travel industry, which can look forward to 2023 with even greater confidence in the domestic US market,” she concluded.
