Singapore Airlines group carries 3.3 million during November

The Singapore Airlines (SIA) group carried 3.3 million passengers during November, an increase of 7.5% in comparison to November 2023. Revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) was up 8.3% in November.  

The group’s overall capacity saw an increase of 9.3% during the month, in comparison to November of the year prior. The group’s passenger load factor declined 0.8 percentage point to 87%.  

Looking at the group's individual airlines, SIA carried 2.3 million passengers during the month, up by 12.1% in comparison to November 2023. SIA’s low-cost subsidiary Scoot carried one million passengers during the period, a decrease of 1.5% when looking at the comparable period of 2023. SIA’s passenger load factor was relatively flat at 86.8%, while Scoot’s was down 3.4 percentage points to 87.4%.  

The group’s cargo capacity increased by 12.8% in comparison to 2023, driven by a higher utilisation of freighter aircraft and expanded belly hold capacity from increased passenger services. However, cargo load factor fell by 1.3 percentage points, averaging at 56.6% for the month.
