Scoot, the budget airline owned by Singapore Airlines, is adding Bangkok to its destinations from June. The move has been criticized due to the high level of competition on the Singapore-Bangkok route, specifically from SIA.
However the airline’s CEO Campbell Wilson said he was introducing the route due to significant demand and because it will maximize the use of its aircraft.
