Schiphol Airport near Amsterdam recorded 3.8 million passengers in February 2023, a 42% increase compared to 2022 and up almost 650% on the year before that.
Almost 28,350 flights landed at or took off from the airport during the 28-day month, up 17% on 2022 but below the pre-pandemic levels in 2019 and 2020.
Almost 1.5 million of the passengers were transfers, meaning they were each counted as an arrival and a departure. Around 2.6 million of the passenger tally went to or arrived from a European destination.
The number of all-cargo flights decreased from 1,731 in February 2022 to 1,333, with the cargo volume of 109,035 tonnes also down on previous years.
