The Saudia Group has signed a deal with Airbus to acquire up to 20 A330neo aircraft, ten of which are firm orders for the airline group’s low-cost carrier flyadeal.
The company said that the purchase of these new aircraft from Airbus aligns with a strategy to broaden its operational reach and introduce more destinations to its network.
“This step aligns with our national strategies under Saudi Vision 2030, which aim to connect 250 destinations and facilitate the travel of over 330 million travellers and 150 million tourists by 2030,” said Ibrahim Al-Omar, director general of Saudia Group.
This builds on a deal made between Airbus and the airline group last year for 105 aircraft.
Deliveries of this latest order are scheduled to begin in 2027, with the final aircraft arriving in 2029.
