SAS, Vietnam Airlines expand codeshare partnership with new routes

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and Vietnam Airlines have announced an expanded codeshare agreement ahead of the launch of new direct service between Copenhagen and Ho Chi Minh City.

On December 15, 2025, Vietnam Airlines will operate its inaugural service between Copenhagen (CPN) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN).

Under the new codeshare agreement, SAS customers can book the new Vietnam Airlines route under the SAS code, as well as onward connections to Hanoi, Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Da Lat, and Hue.

Vietnam Airlines will also place its code on SAS-operated flights beyond Copenhagen, including domestic routes to Aarhus, Aalborg, and Billund, in addition to international services to Stockholm, Oslo, Gothenburg, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, and Helsinki.

Passengers travelling on these codeshare services will continue to benefit from each airline's frequent flyer programme, including the ability to earn and redeem points across the expanded network.

“The partnership supports SAS’s continued development of Copenhagen as its main hub, reinforcing its role as a gateway to Asia, Europe, and North America,” the joint Scandinavian flag carrier said.

“Enhanced connectivity through CPH strengthens traffic flows from the US and across Europe, ensuring smoother journeys for international travellers.”
