SAS has expanded its domestic route network within Sweden, after entering a partnership with Braathens Regional Airways AB (BRA).
Seven BRA aircraft will operate on SAS’ route network from Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport. On January 27, 2025, two new routes will open: between Arlanda and Kalmar, and between Arlanda and Halmstad.
"We are excited to kick off the new year by strengthening our domestic network in Sweden, all from Arlanda,” said Anko van der Werff, president and CEO of SAS. “Our new partnership with BRA will make it easier for people to travel to a wide range of destinations in Sweden, for both outbound and inbound travellers.”
Swedish airport operator Swedavia has welcomed the expansion noting that the new domestic routes will enhance accessibility to nearly 150 international destinations directly available from Arlanda.
