SAS reports strong July 2023

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) carried a total of 2.4 million passengers in July 2023, recording its highest monthly passenger figure since pre-pandemic days. The passenger numbers represented an 82% increase as compared to July 2022 figure.

SAS recorded an average load factor of 86% during July 2023 and an increase of 84% in the overall capacity as compared to July 2022.

Commenting on the results Anko van der Werff, president and chief executive said:The summer season continued with another busy month for SAS. 2.4 million passengers travelled with SAS in July, the highest passenger figure since before the pandemic. We are pleased to see the positive trend for passenger demand, with continued booking strength throughout the month of July.”

The airline’s revenue oassenger kilometers (RPK) peaked at 4,177,000 showing a change of 92.1% compared to the same month last year.

SAS’ change in CO2 emissions was reported at 35.6% change for the month of July, showing the airline’s continued commitment towards net zero in the future.

All-in-all SAS reported a strong July 2023 with the peak summer season in full swing the airline looks forward to reporting a successful Q3 as well as a successful full year results.
