SAS, Apollo ink charter operations agreement extension
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and Apollo have signed a new three-year charter operations partnership agreement worth 4.5bn SEK ($421.2 million). Under the agreement, SAS will fly Apollo customers from Denmark, Norway, and Sweden to across various destinations in Europe. The agreement extends upon the previous agreement made in 2021, extending its charter operations partnership until 2024. ""The agreement with Apollo is an important part of our strategy to seasonally adjust our flight capacity,"" said SAS global sales director. ""The new agreement with Apollo reaffirms SAS' position as a valued partner in the charter market."" ""We have a long-standing partnership with SAS, which is known for its modern fleet of fuel-efficient aircraft, and we are very pleased to continue offering our customers the opportunity to fly with SAS as part of their holiday experience,"" said Apollo CEO Tobias Jonsson. SAS and Apollo are set to inaugurate direct flights connecting Copenhagen and Banjul, Gambia, commencing in November 2024. These flights will be serviced by Airbus A321LR aircraft.
