Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) and WestJet are entering a new partnership, which is set to strengthen connectivity between Scandinavia and Canada.
This newly signed interline agreement between SAS and WestJet is expected to lead to the launch of a full codeshare later this summer.
SAS now operates year-round flights between Copenhagen and Toronto. Once the codeshare agreement is in place, WestJet will add its code to this nonstop service, as well as to SAS-operated flights connecting major European cities like London, Paris, and Amsterdam with destinations across Scandinavia.
“This partnership lays the foundation for a long-term collaboration that will benefit travellers on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Paul Verhagen, chief commercial officer at SAS.
Through this interline arrangement, WestJet customers will also be able to book travel to 29 destinations across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway - including major cities like Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and Gothenburg.
