Sankaty Jet Capital, a new US-based business aviation finance platform, has today announced its official launch.
Ford von Weise, who will serve as CEO of the company, has over 25 years’ experience in the business aviation finance industry.
"Sankaty Jet Capital was created to fill a long-standing gap in the business aviation finance marketplace," said von Weise.
"It is focused on doing one thing exceptionally well: providing financing solutions to underserved market segments."
Prior to founding Sankaty Jet Capital, von Weise served as director and head of aircraft finance and advisory services at Citi Private Bank, where he provided business aircraft financing solutions to Citi's individual ultra-high net worth clients and corporate clients globally.
Prior to his time at Citi, von Weise served as vice president of business aviation finance for Merrill Lynch Capital and GMAC Commercial Finance.
