The City of Salem is negotiating with SeaPort airlines in a bid to bring air service back to the Salem airport. Rob McKinney, chief executive of SeaPort airline said: “We’ve done market research that indicates Salem would be a good fit for us. And we felt the state capital really should have air service.”
The proposed schedule incudes two round trip flights to and from Portland, five days a week, as well as round-trip flights to Newport.
