Skymark case rattles on

On July 7, Skymark Airlines and All Nippon Airways met jointly with creditors to persuade them to endorse the ANA-backed rehabilitation plan during the vote set for August 5. Both the ANA plan and the plan submitted by Intrepid have been approved by the Tokyo District Court approved and will be voted on by creditors next month.

At the closed meeting, Nobuo Sayama, president of Integral Corporation, and Toyoyuki Nagamine, Senior Executive Officer of ANA, are reported to have called for creditors' support for their plan and criticized the rival proposal as unrealistic since it did not name the airline sponsor.

Intrepid will also hold a similar meeting next Thursday to also try to convince creditors that its proposal without ANA involvement makes good sense for Skymark and its creditors.
