Ryanair launches new partnership with online travel agent
Ryanair has launched its fourth online travel agent (OTA) partnership with On the Beach. The online travel agent will now be authorised to offer Ryanair flights to customers. The partnership is part of Ryanair's battle against online travel agents reportedly overcharging its customers, which it has coined as 'OTA pirates'. The deal will ensure no price markups from the OTA and that customers receive direct contact from Ryanair regarding their flights. ""This new deal will see Ryanair partner with its fourth approved OTA partner – the second OTA we have partnered with this month,"" said Ryanair director of marketing and digital Dara Brady. It appears that Ryanair has made peace with travel agents following a scathing report against OTAs including On the Beach in January, 2024. On the Beach CEO Shaun Morton said: ""Importantly, this agreement enables both parties to move on from outstanding litigation and we look forward to working closely with our new partner."" Ryanair had announced partnerships with TUI earlier in February and with kiwi.com in January.
