Ryanair delayed its transition to all-paperless boarding passes, the company confirmed on March 5, 2025. The European airline will now scrap its printed boarding passes to November 3, 2025.
The delay appears to allow for the rollout to be more easily managed during its quieter winter schedule.
From November, Ryanair customers will no longer be able to download and print a physical paper boarding pass and will instead use the digital pass through the airline's app.
“This move to 100% paperless boarding passes from November 2025 will allow us to deliver an enhanced travel experience for customers, streamlined through the myRyanair app during our less busy Winter schedule,” said Ryanair CMO Dara Brady.
Brady added that the app will allow customers to more easily access real-time information and updates.
