Rolls Royce has issued an airworthiness directive on four models of the Trent turbofan engine – the Trent 500, 700, 800 and 900.
The directive is connected with cracks found in the intermediate pressure compressor rotor shaft of three Trent engines. RR stated that the cracks “potentially threaten rotor integrity”.
