Royal Air Maroc and GOL to enter a new codeshare agreement

Royal Air Maroc and Brazilian carrier GOL Linhas Aéreas have signed a codeshare agreement that will allow increased connectivity for passengers on international flights between São Paulo and Casablanca.

The agreement will enable passengers to access both of the airlines' networks, offering expanded travel options to destinations within Morocco, including Marrakesh and Tangier, as well as locations in Brazil, such as Rio de Janeiro.

Abdelhamid Addou, chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc commented on the new agreement: "We are delighted to engage in this new partnership with GOL Linhas Aéreas. This agreement is a significant step forward in meeting the growing demand in the African and Latin American markets. This collaboration strengthens our network in both markets, providing our passengers with better access to Brazil's vibrant cities thanks in part to our Casablanca-Sao Paulo direct route, while also offering exciting travel opportunities to Morocco and other destinations.”

Royal Air Maroc currently offers three direct weekly frequencies between Sao Paulo and Casablanca, with these flights being operated by the airline’s 787 aircraft.

"We are happy and proud to contribute, through this strategic agreement, to the strengthening of relations between Brazil and Morocco,” said Celso Ferrer, chairman and CEO of GOL.

“The partnership with Royal Air Maroc represents for our customers a real opening to other destinations in Morocco and Africa. This collaboration allows them to travel from GOL's main air bases and to reach via Sao Paulo, Casablanca and other major cities on the African continent."

By signing this agreement with Royal Air Maroc, GOL is set to expand its presence in the African market, enhancing connectivity and creating additional opportunities for trade and economic cooperation.
