Riyadh Air has signed an agreement with Swiss Aviation Software (Swiss AS) for the implementation of AMOS, Swiss AS’s maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) software.
Riyadh Air is currently in the process of selecting and defining the software solutions essentials for its commercial operations planned for 2025. The agreement will allow AMOS to optimise Riyadh Air’s MRO activities by integrating Riyadh Air’s evolving fleet, accommodating new aircraft types, and drive its digital initiatives to reach its sustainability goals.
“We are building our technical capabilities to ensure readiness for our first flight in 2025,” said Riyadh Air CEO Peter Bellew, “and an important part of this process is to ensure we have world class partners in place across the business.” The airline has chosen AMOS’s full hosting in the cloud service package, including AMOS Operational Services (AOS) to support its digital leadership and sustainability goals.
Bellew continued: “We plan to pioneer the use of AMOS to drive our sustainability plans from day one integrating it to enable fuel and carbon saving across our fleets.”
“Riyadh Air will be the first digital-native airline,” said Swiss AS CEO Fabiano Faccoli. “Riyadh Air not only reaffirms its dedication to industry leadership but also showcases a strategic embrace of state-of-the-art technology that aligns perfectly with our mutual vision for the future of air travel.”
The signing ceremony took place in Dubai to celebrate the airline’s debut at the Dubai Airshow in November, 2023. There, the airline had unveiled several commercial agreements with companies such as IBM, Lucid Motors, Lufthansa Systems, and Saudia.
